Processing of long blocks to roll goods without markings and wrinkles

Fully automatic and with many extras, the bandknife splitting machine H 32 LF Loop is suitable for the economical processing of long blocks to roll goods. With the cutting unit integrated in a loop frame, the machine splits material such as flexible PU foam in a particularly efficient and economical way - with consistent and high precision all over the entire long block. Particularly interesting: By means of a laterally positioned wind up device one only person can carry out the roll change in just about 30 seconds without stopping the block. Thanks to a unique new gluing station, now only one person can glue the block ends together much faster than before.

Frame and cutting unit: stable, robust und precise

The very robust cast body of the cutting unit disposes of a fully automatic bandknife re-adjustment. The modern control and high-precision manufactured mechanical parts allow the precise positioning and guiding of the bandknife. In this way, you achieve a layer thickness tolerance of +/- 0.1 millimeters with minimal material loss.
The frame is an important component of the loop. It holds everything together and consists of several parts which also allows installations in lower halls. Due to the robust construction with diagonal reinforcements and a solid lateral guidance, the block run remains stable even at a throughput speed of 150 m/min and guarantees a high cut quality. Robustness and precision do not exclude one another.

Efficient winding up – change of rolls without material stop

For edge-precise and wrinkle-free winding of the cut material, there are two winder variations. The A1 winder is installed directly behind the cutting unit. This winder position is ideal for customers who also use the loop as a long splitting line without gluing the block. With the A1/90 winder, there is also the option of winding next to the transport conveyor belt at a 90° angle to the machine. Here, one only person can carry out the complete roll change. As the material feed runs without interruption, the block does not need to be stopped for the very easy and fast roll change. This leads to a cutting result without any markings. On average, the change only takes 30 seconds. Thanks to its position next to the transport conveyor belt, the A1/90 winder can be easily operated from the ground, it is very ergonomic and also facilitates material removal. As an option, the cutting to length after reaching the requested sheet length can be carried out fully automatically. 

Innovative gluing station for more ergonomics and time saving

The unique new gluing station of the loop stands for the increase of the productive lifetime of the machine and thus for an even more economical production. Pierre Schouteten, constructing engineer of the mechanical components, describes the new development as follows: "One part of the transport conveyor belt is lowered downwards. This creates a passage. Here, the operator can now spray the block ends with adhesive at ground level. There is no need to climb onto the transport conveyor belt. Moreover the time-consuming masking of the transport rolls is not necessary." This does not only save a lot of time, but also allows ergonomic work.

Versatile options for diverse requirements

For the individual adaptation to the needs of the customers there are numerous additional options, e.g. the selectable block length tolerance of up to six meters. For cutting the material to length or trimming the material, there are other optional features such as the possible integration of a T 1 machine for frontal trimming of the long block and/or a V 116 group for lateral trimming. Both types can be installed directly within the frame or in front of the loop. An optional cutting device with rotating circular knives allows the width adjustment of the material per roll or the division into several thinner belts. Likewise, an automatic cutting device can be installed after winding.
