Peel long, thin films
The R 21/88 bandknife peeling machine peels long, thin foils from cylinders made from PU foam and similar soft materials. The foils are mainly used in the automotive and mattress industry. The peeling machine comprises two cast-iron side castings and a sturdy, central cross casting as a self-supporting basic structure. The peeled foils can be up to 5200 mm [204.72 in] wide and are free of adhesive joints.
Wind-up peeled foils
The foils are fed into the R 88 wind-up machine. The peeling/winding speed can be adjusted continuously between 13 and 130 m/min [42.9-429 ft/min] and can therefore be perfectly adapted to the material. The R 7 boring machine and R 17 boring and mandrel inserting machine work alongside the R 21/88 peeling machine by boring a hole through the cylinder or block.
Always precise cuts with the bandknife
The bandknife is guided precisely through two hardened, sharpened bondstrips in the cutting area. The desired layer thickness is set via change gears or electronically (option). The rotation of the material cylinder will be transformed into a vertically movement via lifting spindles. A grinding device can continuously sharpen the circulating bandknife. A control circuit automatically adjusts the bandknife, thereby ensuring a consistent cutting quality.
